Rail Fence
Priced at $60
- This pattern is called Rail Fence, in purples. I had saved my purples for just the right design, and I am very please with how this one turned out.
- The dark strip just makes all the coordinating lighter purple's pop.
- Made from 100% cotton.
- Measures 48" x 59"
Square within a Square
Priced at $60
- This quilt became a great opportunity to showcase my neutrals.
- I love the simple design of squares within squares, so this design was perfect for some creams and beiges, including some florals in similar tones.
- Made from 100% cotton.
- Measures 41.5" x 54"
Red, White and Blue
Priced at $60
- This quilt was really fun to make. The blocks are framed by a light denim blue to create a cool country look.
- Added feature of a super skinny flange to separate the borders.
- Made from 100% cotton.
- Measures 53" x 57.5"
Looking out the Window
Priced at $60
Measures 41" x 45"
- This quilt was one of my favourites to make. I'd been itching to make a window frame quilt and when I found the bird panels, I knew this had to be it.
- There were only 8 panels, so I created the center bird house panel using applique.
- Made from 100% cotton.
Blue and Gold - Mini Sampler Quilt
Priced at $60
Measures 44" x 56"
- This quilt was created for a class. The project was called "Stars of Bowness" and was offered in three different finished sizes. This was the sample size. My own was the queen size and the mid was a lovely couch sized lap quilt.
- Each block was a star with each center being a unique design.
- Made from 100% cotton.
Black and White Challenge - with a hint of gold
Priced at $60
Measures 53" x 53"
- I joined an on line class for this fun project. I received a different block pattern each month and it was up to me to choose the fabrics.
- I decided to make it my black and white challenge, with gold being my pop of colour.
- I deviated a little bit from the given design, incorporated some of my own blocks, and as a result I needed to re-puzzle the layout, filling in spaces where needed.
- Overall, I was please with the result.
- I entered this one for display at the Heritage Park, Festival of Quilts the year they featured a black and white challenge section.
- Made from mixed fibers.

Bright Pink!
Priced at $60
Measures 53" x 59.5"
- This unique quilt began with a collection of hanker-chief style panel blocks.
- Thin one day I stumbled upon coordinating stripped yardage.
- It took a while to come up with a design which worked for these bright patterns.
- In the end, a lovely pink and blue quilt was created.
Must Love Pink
Priced at $60
Measures 54" x 66"
- This was an on line course I took, several years ago, again where one or two blocks were presented each month.
- I received the patterns - each one different from the last.
- This is a great way to try many different quilting techniques and also to showcase many different fabrics and prints.
- I chose to make this one out of pinks, and found the black and white polka dot as the binding really pulled the entire quilt together and frames it beautifully.
- Made from mixed fibers.
Priced at $60
Measures 49.5" x 57"
- This beautiful peachy print was almost too pretty to cut into, so I knew I needed to make it a main feature of my next quilt.
- I love the simple design of the 'disappearing 9-patch' and decided this would be the perfect pattern.
- The dark green draws from the floral, and the large coral/peach border fabric coordinates well with the print.
- Made from 100% cotton.
Sampler
Priced at $60
Measures 52" x 68"
- This sampler quilt was another class I taught in our community.
- I love the sampler style quilts for teaching as each block is unique and challenges the quilter on many different levels.
- Building a sampler quilt allows the quilter to decide which patterns they really enjoy and which ones they'd just as soon toss in the corner.
- Either way, a beautiful quilt will be created!
- Made from 100% cotton.
Ducks in a Row?
Priced at $50
Measures 40" x 45.5"
- Baby quilts are quick and easy, and are a great way to use up smaller pieces of fabrics.
- I needed a simple design which would effectively incorporate all these different prints.
- This quilt will be great in a nursery for use by a special little someone.
- Made from 100% cotton.
Christmas Chevrons
Priced at $50
Measures 41" x 49"
- This quilt was one of my first makes.
- I was really excited to pick up a coordinating package of holiday themed fat quarters.
- The challenge was to come up with a design which would work for the small amount of printed fabrics, and so the chevron was born.
Row by Row challenge - Natural Forces
Priced at $60
Measures 36" x 40"

- This project is more for display than it is for practical use.
- For several summers, I followed a fun project called "Row by Row Experience" in which quilt shops throughout pretty much everywhere would put out a free quilt pattern based on a pre-determined theme. Shops would offer the pattern for free but they would also create kits as an option to purchase, where the pattern would include the fabrics to make the block.
- The fun begins when you road trip and collect these patterns or kits and if you are the first person to turn a quilt into a participating shop you could win a prize.
- I did my share of collecting, but I never made it to the point where I could submit a completed project.
- The patterns used in this project were from the 2017 theme "On The Go".
- Made from 100% cotton.

BQ 5 - More Pink
Priced at $100
Measures 58.5" x 76"
- I had been eyeing this pattern for a while.
- Usually when I approach a new quilt, I have fabric in mind and my quest to find an appropriate pattern begins.
- This time, I had the pattern and the dark fabric, so it was an easy choice to match in the pink.
- Made from 100% cotton.
Freebie 15 - Sand and Sea Glass
Priced at $100
Measures 58" x 72"

- I love this quilt!
- For a few years I joined a program called Freebie 15 at a local quilt shop, Traditional Pastimes.
- They have since closed their doors, but I participated for a few years.
- The way it worked, you purchased the first block - pattern and fabric kit, and each month, if you presented your completed block on the 15th you would receive the next month's kit for FREE!
- Who doesn't love a free program?!
- When the year is done, you should have 12 completed blocks - enough to make a beautiful quilt.
- With this one I wanted it a little larger so I needed to add something to it.
- My mom once again helped me put this puzzle together - we discussed many possibilities and in the end decided I would make a TON of those little hourglass blocks to sash and border all the blocks.
- I chose to finish the quilt using the tie method, which means I used crochet cotton to tie knots every 6-8" to keep the batting from shifting. This is in place of hand or machine stitching.
- Made from 100% cotton.
